Bells Island Pipeline Upgrade
Submissions welcome through 27 February
The Nelson Regional Sewerage Business Unit (NRSBU) has prepared a regional pipeline upgrade strategy for the Bells Island Wastewater Scheme. The risk of pipeline failure is considered extremely serious.
The NRSBU is seeking to take urgent action. Upgrade options are being suggested for public feedback.

Free off-peak travel for SuperGold Card holders in Nelson
From 1 October 2008 thousands of senior citizens in the Nelson region will be eligible for free travel on off-peak public transport services on The BUS and SBL from Nelson to Richmond.

Draft Regional Land Transport Strategy
Deferred to Council workshop 10 February
The draft Regional Land Transport Strategy (RLTS) for Nelson City sets the direction for the development of Nelson’s land transport system for the next 30 years. Council has deferred a decision pending further discussion at a workshop in February.
